I am seeking employment opportunities in the Information Technologies field. While full time or part time employment is acceptable, I am most interested in freelance work, especially off-site systems administration.
Also, for those in need of light electronic repair, theatrical equipment repair, or the like, I do that sort of work at Norcostco Texas Costume in Dallas, Texas.
I have ongoing experience in maintaining a small Gentoo Linux based network. Part of that maintenance is keeping this web server on the Internet. This involves being able to keep the server running, as well as keeping the site current.
Beyond this, I also have experience configuring the computers of numerous users of this web site, Pappy's Kernel Seeds. I have two-hundred-and-thirty-six separate kernel configurations from wide and varying systems, up to and including a kernel configured for use with a RISC processor MAC.
I also have experience in the operation and configuration of remote, headless servers.
I have experience using Slackware, Debian, Gentoo, and many of their derivatives.
I also have extensive experience in Windows XP, Vista, and a slight bit of experience with Windows 7.
